What about GOD . . .
If God is the “supreme creator," then we must
only be procreators
(meaning we only partially have a hand in the
creation process). In
turn, I would deduce that children must be a
gift from god. The baby
may be our flesh and blood but the spirit is
not ours to take! Do
you really think that if God is making these
spiritual bodies He
wants their physical bodies destroyed?
Most likely not. If God is
sole creator, then logically He couldn’t be for
abortion.
Who wants to answer to the Lord and take responsibility
on judgement
day for the numbers that are aborted? I
don’t think I could, I think
He’d be mad. I have to pray for His mercy
enough without having to
worry about the guilt of an abortion on my heart.
Why is a pregnancy seen as a choice for abortion
and not a baby? We
live in a “ME, Me” society. This simply
means we look out for
ourselves and no one else. Could you honestly
say you wouldn’t have
cared if you were aborted? Could you honestly
say you wouldn’t
protest to your personal abortion by your mother?
Never a first kiss
or first date, to never meet the best friends
you hold dear to your
heart today, never to hear the awesome music
at a concert or go to a
party at college and drink for the first time.
Never get to love
another or feel the warmth of the sun.
Never to stay up late with
friends to watch movies, eat pizza, and just
talk about anything!
How can you deny your baby to it’s right to live
life and experience
all if this!!!!!
What about . . .
The pain and guilt of an abortion?
Why is there pain and guilt? Guilt would
imply you have done
something wrong. Guilt is a natural feeling,
and then naturally it
would imply you have made a bad decision.
Guilt can be so
tremendously overwhelming that it can physically
run the body down
(e.g. depression). What’s unnatural is
the suction put on the
uterus during abortion. If it’s okay to
do, then why are there such
high risks of horrible side effects? Scar
tissue rupturing, excessive
bleeding, the loss of the ability to have children
– all imply that
this practice is unnatural and not what the body
is made to undergo. True, not
all women are affected in this way, but that
can’t change the facts
previously stated that abortions are killing
other women.
When is the last time you saw under the obituaries
a woman
who died from abortion? Probably never.
Why? Women who die from
abortions are kept secret because it looks bad.
Couldn’t that
inherently mean it is bad? Undercover agents
have to look into the
files and such to find this hidden information.
Where can I get help . . . I’m not ready?!
First of all, God is there for you! If He
gives you the baby, then
how could He not help provide for it? Sure
we don’t always see how
or when He will, but that’s how God is- we can’t
always understand
His plan. What about God’s plan?
Isn’t His plan just as important
as ours? – Probably more important than ours?
We all know the results
of having sex. You don’t always get pregnant
from sex though so that
must mean God has some sort of plan for you and
your baby. Others
argue that we should plan pregnancy and that’s
partly why abortion
should be legal. But aren’t most pregnancies
unplanned by us but
planned by God?! How can you say a baby
is unwanted, maybe
inconvenient but not unwanted –who wants to be
told that’s what they
are- UNWANTED? Since when should pregnancy
be a matter of
convenience? -Take life as it is handed
out to you and accept graces
and gifts from the Lord.
There is the option of adoption- how great the
number is of loving
parents on waiting lists for a baby. There
are social services to
help unwed, teen, and/or poor mothers.
Look at all the support you
have!!!
Forgiveness!
The all-loving Lord will look with mercy on you
if you feel you are truly sorry for your abortion.
But, you must
know the healing process is long and sorrowful.
The overwhelming
thought of what you’ve done is hard to come to
terms with and it’s
even hard to forgive yourself. One day
you will feel liberated and
at peace – ask God to help you on your way.
