Minutes: Summarized and approved.
Committee Reports:
Mud-wrestling Committe:
- This committee has been formed solely so that it will appear in the meeting minutes.
- Ryan will chair the committee.
Recruitment and Relations Committee:
CCG Committee:
- The Austin Powers CCG is actually good.
- Decipher will release the Mirror Universe ST expansion in November, along with Enhanced Premiere and Reflections.
Officers' Reports:
Communications Officers:
Chief of Operations:
Grand Nagus:
- The current balance is $122 or so.
- The Nagus may be late this semester beacuse her professor for a three-hour class likes to keep them overtime.
First Officer:
- Ryan is the new chair of the Psi Phi CCG/Mud-wrestling committee.
Captain:
- We have meeting room 6 again this semester! Yay!
- Mail:
Old Business:
- Star Trek convention: there's still definite interest in going to the Champaign convention on Saturday, February 12. It would only be about $10, maybe less if we get a group rate.
- The Peoria UPN network will (hopefully) start broadcasting after the midnight after February 14.
Scifi News:
- Book News: We got to see a preview/author's copy of DS9: A Stitch in Time, which is a great book, as well as covers for calendars and a DS9 shooting script. There were also covers for the New Earth (new original series) 6-book cycle, which looks to be promising.
- Ryan has spoilers for the rest of the Voyager season.
- Proposal: hold a duck shoot but, instead of ducks, use flying saucers or pokemon dolls. Unfortunately, we can't do this for campus carnival because there's probably a university policy against giving little children guns.
- WGN will air the Total Recall 2070 series soon.
- ST:DS9 has been on Fox at 10pm Sundays lately.
- "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" will air on channel 43 this Fall. It is based on an idea of Roddenberry's, but will feature Kevin Sorbo as the captain of a starship. At this time it is not known if Xena will co-star.
Adjournment: 10:45pm
