Committee Reports:
CCG / Mud Wrestling Committee:
- You can go to decipher.com to vote to see which Star Wars CCG cards should be re-released in foil versions.
- Lots of research has been put into mud wrestling.
Recruitment and Relations Committee:
- New people are coming to the meetings - yay!
Officers' Reports:
Communications Officer:
- No report from either Comm. Officer.
Chief of Operations:
Grand Nagus:
- The current balance is still $122 or so.
First Officer:
- At starwars.com, you can reserve a copy of Episode I on tape (see Scifi News below).
Captain:
- We are meeting in the Taco Bell lobby because of the Job Fair tomorrow.
- Mail:
- An ad for kickboxing classes. (Motion to create a kickboxing committee denied)
- An ad for the "Vagina Monologues," a series of monologues about women, and things people are discouraged from talking about.
Old Business:
- We're still on for the conference on Saturday, February 12. Psi PHi will subsidize $10 of the cost, so it's only $10 to attend (without autographs). Monica can maybe drive a BU van; otherwise we can carpool or get hoverboards. If you will commit to going, email Dave (via the list) to pre-order a ticket to guarantee the $10 price.
Scifi News:
- Star Wars: Episode I will be on tape on April 4.
- New book covers were shown for: the Preserver (by William Shatner), the Valiant (about the Stargazer's early days), New Earth book 4, and Enterprise Logs (short stories about the captains, from the aircraft carrier to the 1701 series).
- The UPN station will be in Peoria in 1.5 weeks. No, really!
- When UPN hits Peoria, they will show Voyager at 8pm Wednesdays. We might watch something else from 9-10 before the meeting, possibly Red Dwarf or Doctor Who. Next week's Voyager schedule is as normal.
- The Sliders final episode is on this Friday. Watch the pilot episode followed by the grand finale.
- Farscape is cool.
Adjournment: 10:40pm
