Committee Reports:
Movie Committee:
- Sunday around 1ish, The Matrix was to be shown.
Recruitment and Relations Committee:
Officer's Reports:
Communications Officer:
- Various people will be added to the email list. For those who need to be added: if you don't get this email, email me your address. :)
Chief of Operations:
- New Buffy Books are being added to the psiphi.org website book center.
- We may add an MCS plug on the website too.
Grand Nagus:
- The current balance is $330.63, -$58.32 for expenses, leaving us with $272.31. After about $30 in poster fees, we will have about $242.31.
First Officer:
- Aside from a rant about the Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, and 98 Degrees...
- No report.
Captain:
- The club will soon be legal - our club registration form is being filled out.
- Mail:
- We got some mail about Homecoming activites. However, as there are no teams actually coming home, we probably won't participate.
New Business:
- We should take Away Missions to conventions or movies. What's playing? Monica can drive a Bradley van if we need it.
- We should also plan T-shirts!!! If we make them cool enough, we could even sell them.
- We can also cosponsor a movie, perhaps Star Wars Episode I, with ACBU to help promote Psi Phi.
Scifi News:
- There will be a new scifi series on WB: Roswell. It will be about aliens and High School. It begins on 10/6/1999.
- A Buffy TV Series soundtrack CD will be available in a few months.
- The November 17th Voyager episode, "One Small Step," will commemorate the space program of Earth. It will be directed by Robert Picardo, the Doctor.
- Scifi book news:
- "Vulcan's Heart," featuring Spock's wedding. Yes, you read that right.
- "I, Q," an autobiographical work by John DeLancie and Peter Davidson, told from the viewpoint of Q.
- "Star Trek: Adventures in Time and Space," a look back at the best of the Star Trek books and novels. There are excepts of 70 different works, and a great guide/timeline.
- 2 new New Frontier books will be coming out in November.
- Starting with the November issues, the new 'book guide' list at the end of Star Trek books will be error-free, thanks to David's corespondence with the publishers. Go Chief!
