What is an unrestricted gift?

An unrestricted gift is simply a gift to Bradley with no restrictions from the donor on how it is to be used, although it can be directed to a particular college or unit and still be considered unrestricted. Your Bradley Fund gift to the University is a good example of an unrestricted gift. Unrestricted gifts support Bradley by allowing the University flexibility in determining how best to use the funds.
