Dr. Bob Scott is the Chairman and a Professor of Economics in The Foster College of Business Administration (FCBA), Bradley University, where he has also been the Director of the Center for Economic Education. As a Visiting Professor for 2002-2003, he engaged in research on the future of manufacturing with the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge, UK. Dr. Scott completed his Ph.D. at the University of Iowa in 1975 with specialties in Economics and Statistics. Since joining Bradley University in that year, he has published several dozen articles in prestigious journals in finance, economics, and statistics.
A winner of many awards for research and teaching, Professor Scott has taught executive development courses and consulted with major corporations on three continents. His consultations have been with businesses including Caterpillar, TWI, US Steel, Tower Automotive, Lincoln Electric, Houston Light and Power and others. Currently, Dr. Scott is working to start the Global Innovation Network and Institute (GINI–pronounced “Gee nee”) at Bradley University. GINI will work with governments, corporations, universities, and research organizations to advance technology in the United States and the world.

Dr. Kevin O’Brien is a Professor of Economics in the Foster College of Business Administration (FCBA), Bradley University. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois and has taught at Bradley University for eighteen years. At Bradley University, Dr. O’Brien has taught courses in the principles of economics, labor economics, public sector economics, and health care economics. His research has focused on the areas of the local public sector, public sector labor markets, and e-commerce. He has received both the teaching and research awards from the FCBA. In addition, he has done consulting work for businesses and governments in the Peoria area. With regard to the economics of health care, Dr. O’Brien has given presentations to health care managers, business people, government leaders, and clergy in the Peoria area.
