Now a knight

Bishop Daniel Jenky and Sir Michael Berlinger, MBA '04MICHAEL BERLINGER, MBA ’04 (in white) was conferred into the knighthood of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem in an investiture ceremony in Milwaukee last October. Archbishop Timothy Nolan conferred knighthood on behalf of Pope Benedict XVI. The Equestrian Order is a Catholic chivalric order of knighthood that traces its roots to the First Crusade, 1099 A.D. He is shown with Bishop Daniel Jenky of the Peoria Diocese, who also is a member of the order.

Sir Michael is international sales manager at Heritage Restoration and Design Inc., a sixth-generation firm that restores churches and historical buildings. He is director of ecclesiastical art/conservation and also is managing partner. The parents of four sons, he and his wife Kathryn live in Peoria.
