Biotech fellowships awarded

Bradley has received a $50,000 donation from the Biotechnology Research and Development Corporation (BRDC) to create graduate research fellowships for students working in an area of biotechnology. Students will be awarded a $12,500 stipend, and the Graduate School will match the stipend with 18 hours of tuition. Students completing the last year of Bradley’s 4-1 program a program allowing chemistry and biology students to earn an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in five years and students completing the two-year master’s program are eligible to receive the stipend. The new program replaces another BRDC-funded program that provided scholarships and internships for undergrads. BRDC is a biotechnology group that focuses on fostering close working relationships among government, academia, and the private sector to perform research with commercial potential.
