Bradley’s accounting honor society, Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), took first place for the first time in the Deloitte Best Practices competition at the BAP Midwest Regional Meeting in Chicago for its presentation on “Ethics and Integrity in Business.” This award for Best Practices has won Bradley students JUSTIN KNOBELOCH ’11, TYLER PETERSON ’11, and SARAH RAYFIELD ’11 a ticket to BAP’s national competition in San Jose, California this August, where they will compete against seven other regional teams in the Best Practices competition. The award also came with a $500 prize.

To prepare for the competition, the students completed a presentation regarding an organization’s ethical behavior. They chose HealthSouth, and brought the CFO of the company, Aaron Beam, to campus to give a presentation on the $3 billion fraud committed in the company. They used this information, as well as Aaron Beam’s book, to prepare their award-winning presentation.

The students are now preparing for the national competition.
