With All Deliberate Speed; The Legacy of Brown v. Board
ELH DVD0289

On May 17, 1954, the United States Supreme Court pronounced its decision in the five cases collectively known as "Brown v. the Board of Education of Topeka". The justices ruled that the practice of "separate but equal" public schools would not stand. The nation would now be compelled by law to confront an issue that had not been settled by the Civil War or the passage of the 14th Amendment. Most importantly, the film concludes with the voices of students and teachers, who analyze the role of diversity and multicultural education in America today. 60 minutes/ Color / DVD/ Widescreen format
