In 1977 a fight broke out between the Huston Rockets and the L.A. Lakers, and All-Star Rudy Tomjanovich raced to break it up. Unfortunately, Rudy ran into Kermit Washington, a good player with a ferocious punch. That punch dislodged Rudy's skull, and he was never the same player again.
