Vice-President Russell Howland

Department of Internal Affairs

Internal Affairs deals with all matters pertaining to the working or internal dealings of the Student Senate. These responsibilities include examining all proposed legislation (i.e. amendments, resolutions, letters of recommendation on behalf of the Senate, etc.) prior to consideration on the Senate floor to determine if the legislation is crafted with the best interest of the student body in mind. As the Vice-Presidentman of Internal Affairs, Russell serves as the official parliamentarian/sergeant-at-arms for Student Senate. The Internal Affairs committee is also responsible for establishing constituency hours in a way that will ensure student accessibility to Student Senators.

Unfortunately, the Internal Affairs committee is exclusive to members of the Senate; as the “police” organization of Senate, it does not make sense for students who do not serve on Senate to enforce policies within the organization. If you are a member of Senate who has an interest in joining this committee, please contact
Russel Howland. Any member of the Bradley University student body may also contact NAME if you have questions regarding the internal workings of Senate. Thank you for your interest in this committee!
