The Beta Pi Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta was chartered at
Bradley University on August 10, 1982. Although part of a
very large and competitive Greek system, with 36% of all undergraduate
students choosing to affiliate, it didn't take long for Phi
Gamma Delta to become one of the strongest chapters on Bradley's
campus.
Beta Pi has always excelled in strong academics, campus leadership,
and chapter operations. Our most exciting achievement was
an honorable mention for the Cheney Cup (an award for the
best Chapter in Phi Gamma Delta) in 1997. Beta Pi has also
been honored by Bradley's Interfraternity Council, receiving
the Ed King Award of Excellence for six years straight from
1991 to 1997. Our most recent accomplishment is becoming the
first alcohol-free fraternity house, as of August 16th, 1998,
on Bradley University's campus.
Beta Pi FIJIs also understand the importance of giving back
to the community. The annual Chariot Pull with our Brothers
from Knox College raises money for the Multiple Sclerosis
Society. Our 24-hour Teeter-Totter-A-Thon teams us up with
the campus sororities to raise funds for Family House.
However, none of Beta Pi's achievements would be possible
without our strong basis on brotherhood. Our Chapter understands
the importance of unity and support for all Brothers; this
is what makes Beta Pi's excellence possible.
